Back Pocket Records is an independent collective of songwriters and musicians, based loosley around the 'Back Pocket Recorders' studio run by Melbourne musician Ken Stephenson.
The studio has been running in some form or other since 1983.
We have applied for Heritage Listing but haven't heard anything back.
We are currently
(2012) undergoing an upgrade whereby as many albums as possible are being
re-mastered and uploaded to 
so you can listen to the music to your heart's content.

back pocket (noun) Either of two AFL players who defend the area either side of the goals. Though not the glamour players in the game, occasionally they get the chance to go up forward and kick a goal.
